F.A.N.C.Y. Teen Girls Academy
The goal of The F.A.N.C.Y. Teen Girls Leadership Academy is to provide year-around programming to girls ages 11-19 interested in becoming leaders and giving back to their communities. Evidence-based workshops are based upon gender-specific curriculum surrounding life skills. Activities are conducted to increase engagement, provide a safe-space for self-expression and questions surrounding teen experiences, and to facilitate positive relationships with females that encourage growth and development.
Monthly sessions are held every 3rd Saturday from 8am - noon.

Dare2Detour
The 2016 Dare 2 Detour Summer Program ended with a bang!
Over the summer we've engaged in fun educational confidence building workshops every Friday!
We explored topics such as beauty, self-esteem, goals/dreams, and healthy relationships. The goal of the summer program was to keep girls engaged in positive activities throughout their summer break.
The girls also had the opportunity to model in the TwyNot Charity Fashion Show! Now that's FANCY!

2016 Summer Leadership Academy
DETOUR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting, motivating, and inspiring girls to achieve personal, academic, and professional success through education, empowerment, and the arts.
We are committed to connecting and empowering girls in San Diego County through providing leadership programs, increasing awareness/education, and hosting empowerment events which increase self-esteem & confidence. Since 2010, DETOUR has served over 700 girls ages 11-19 through hosting three youth development programs, the F.A.N.C.Y. Teen Girls Expo, Leadership Academy, and Scholarship Program.
